Rate of Convergence of Predictive Distributions for Dependent Data [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper deals with empirical processes of the type Cn(B) = n^(1/2) {µn(B) - P(Xn+1 in B | X1, . . . ,Xn)} , where (Xn) is a sequence of random variables and µn = (1/n)SUM(i=1,..,n) d(Xi) the empirical measure.

Engineering Pendant Group Chemistry to Control Hydrophilicity and Oxidative Degradation of Thioketal‐Based Biomaterials

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Thioketal (TK) polymers are promising biomaterials due to their selective biodegradation by reactive oxygen species (ROS), but they respond slowly to physiologic doses of ROS. Here, the TK bond's pendant groups are modified to enhance the degradation of TK‐based implants both in vitro and in vivo.

On the random functional central limit theorems with almost sure convergence for subsequences

open access: yes, 2012
In this paper we present functional random-sum central limit theorems with almost sure convergence for independent nonidentically distributed random variables. We consider the case where the summation random indices and partial sums are independent.

Ultrasmall High‐Entropy Materials: Nanoscale Effects, Synthesis, and Mechanistic Insights

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This review article focuses on sub‐10 nm high‐entropy materials that combine nanoscale design with complex compositions for next‐generation applications. ABSTRACT Ultrasmall high‐entropy nanomaterials (USHENMs, <10 nm) merge multicomponent chemistry with size‐dependent effects, forming a distinct class of materials with unprecedented properties.

General Convergence Rates by the Delayed Sums Method

open access: yesAxioms
In this study, we propose a delayed sums method to investigate the convergence rates of partial sums. This approach enables general and systematic treatment of the convergence behavior of partial sums, encompassing and extending classical results such as

A Dual‐Functional Electrolyte Additive for Highly Reversible Zinc‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study introduces tetrabutylammonium bromide (TBAB) as a dual‐function additive for aqueous zinc‐ion batteries. TBAB disrupts the hydrogen‐bond network of water while TBA+ adsorbs on Zn to improve interfacial wettability and regulate Zn2+ flux, resulting in suppressed dendrite growth and parasitic reactions. This synergy extended the lifespan of Zn|

Partial Derivatives Estimation of Multivariate Variance Function in Heteroscedastic Model via Wavelet Method

open access: yesAxioms
For derivative function estimation, conventional research only focuses on the derivative estimation of one-dimensional functions. This paper considers partial derivatives estimation of a multivariate variance function in a heteroscedastic model.

Almost sure and moment exponential stability of Euler-Maruyama discretizations for hybrid stochastic differential equations

open access: yes, 2008
Positive results are derived concerning the long time dynamics of numerical simulations of stochastic differential equation systems with Markovian switching. Euler-Maruyama discretizations are shown to capture almost sure and momente xponential stability

On the almost sure convergence of adaptive allocation procedures [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
In this paper, we provide some general convergence results for adaptive designs for treatment comparison, both in the absence and presence of covariates. In particular, we demonstrate the almost sure convergence of the treatment allocation proportion for
