ALMP: a shifting memory architecture for loop pipelining

Proceedings 1992 IEEE International Conference on Computer Design: VLSI in Computers & Processors, 2003
A multiprocessor architecture called ALMP, which specifically suits loop pipelining, is proposed. The processors in ALMP work like machines in an assembly line in a plant. An assembly line scheduling method (ALMap) has also been developed. ALMP enables processors to communicate with each other through memory modules that shift from processor to ...

Adapting or bending Social Investment: Almps implementation at the urban level: the case of Milan and Vienna

Autonomie locali e servizi sociali, 2022
Active labour market policies (Almps) represent a key aspect of Social Investment’s aim of tackling unemployment through activation and investment in human capital. The paper studies the intricacies between SI and Almp in two European cities – Milan and Vienna.

Microeconometric ALMP Evaluation: Methodological Issues and Previous Work

1999
Macroeconometric approaches to ALMP evaluation are fairly recent. Microeconometric evaluations have a slightly longer tradition, especially in the United States, where evaluation has mostly focused on the earnings effect of training programmes (Riddell, 1991; Leigh, 1995, Chapter 3).

An evaluation of ALMP: the case of Spain [PDF]

open access: possible, 2008
In this paper we use non-experimental microdata to analyse the effects of several active labour market policies (ALMPs) carried out by the National Employment Institute (INEM) and the regional governments in Spain from 2001 to 2002. We compare the employment rates of the treatment group and the employment rates of a control group of nonparticipants ...

Microeconometric ALMP Evaluation: Empirical Analysis for Poland

1999
In this chapter, we estimate the effects of training, intervention, and public works programmes on the re-employment chances of the unemployed. As unemployment is the indicator of being disadvantaged in the Polish labour market, we will exclusively focus on re-employment effects and not consider any possible effects on wages.

Pf-ALMP, a novel astacin-like metalloproteinase with cysteine arrays, is abundant in hemocytes of pearl oyster Pinctada fucata

Biochimica et Biophysica Acta (BBA) - Gene Structure and Expression, 2006
The astacin family metalloproteinase is a family of zinc-dependent endopeptidases which play crucial roles in embryonic development, bone growth and morphogenesis. A cDNA clone encoding a putative astacin-like metalloproteinase (pf-ALMP) was isolated from hemocytes of pearl oyster, Pinctada fucata.

Macroeconometric ALMP Evaluation by Way of Augmented Matching Functions

1999
This chapter will present the macroeconometric approach to ALMP evaluation using the augmented matching function as the basic modelling concept. The advantages of macroeconometric studies over microeconometric ones are that they are capable of capturing externalities by looking at aggregate data.

How fine targeted is ALMP to the youth long term unemployed in Italy? [PDF]

open access: possible, 2001
This paper attempts a qualitative and quantitative evaluation of the ability of the Italian Active Labour Market Policy (ALMP) to target long term youth unemployed. The European Employment Strategy (EES) has given a new impulse to ALMP as the main tool to fight long term youth unemployment.

Is there a Threat Effect of Labour Market Programmes? A Study of ALMP in the Danish UI System

The Economic Journal, 2006
This article focuses on unemployed individuals' reaction to compulsory labour market programmes prior to participation. In Denmark, after having received UI benefits for a given period of time, continued benefits are made conditional on participation in a labour market programme.
