Influence of soil moisture on isoproturon activity against Alopecurus myosuroides
Weed Research, 1985Summary Alopecurus myosuroides Huds. (blackgrass) in sandy loam soil in pots was treated at the three‐leaf stage with formulated isoproturon. Damage to plants resulted mainly from herbicide entry via the soil. When the soil moisture levels were maintained close to 50, 100 and 150% of field capacity (FC) throughout the experiment damage increased with ...

Control of Alopecurus myosuroides (black-grass) resistant to mesosulfuron+iodosulfuron.
Communications in agricultural and applied biological sciences, 2010Resistance to the ALS inhibitor mesosulfuron+iodosulfuron ('Atlantis') had been identified in 293 populations of A. myosuroides in the UK by 2008. Two field trials were conducted in winter wheat crops where ALS target site resistance (Pro197Thr) occurred. Mesosulfuron+iodosulfuron (12+2.4 g a.i. ha(-1)) gave 73% - 79% reductions in head numbers in Town

Regional study of herbicide resistance of Alopecurus myosuroides Huds. in France
2006Since the 1990s in the north-west of Europe, the spread of herbicide resistance in wheat weeds such as Alopecurus myosuroides Huds. (blackgrass) is becoming more and more important. In the French administrative district Côte d’Or resistance to fenoxaprop within A. myosuroides populations was first detected in 1996.
