tRNA‐derived small RNAs (tsRNAs) function in digestive cancers across three scales: intracellular translational and metabolic control, extracellular vesicle–mediated immune remodeling, and systemic and host–microbe communication. This review organizes these mechanisms by evidence strength, from well‐established intracellular roles to emerging ...

Bringing Gene Therapy Into Real World Clinical Practice
ABSTRACT Introduction Adeno‐associated virus (AAV)‐based gene therapy for haemophilia has shifted therapeutic paradigms by enabling hepatic gene transfer, restoring endogenous clotting factor expression, and reducing reliance on conventional prophylactic treatments. Two products, valoctocogene roxaparvovec (haemophilia A) and etranacogene dezaparvovec (

Italian Patients Journey for Gene Therapy in Haemophilia A
ABSTRACT Introduction Gene therapy (GT) provides sustained FVIII levels without repeated infusions in Hemophilia A (HA) patients thus overcoming a major limitation of replacement therapy. However, issues remain e.g., patient selection criteria, duration and variability of transgene expression, quality of life and long‐term safety.

Patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) as well as chronic kidney disease (CKD) are high‐risk individuals, making it challenging to accurately predict their survival. We found that the PALBI grade model when combined with other patient's clinical and tumor‐related factors, forms a new and highly accurate prediction tool to estimate their ...

A Novel Diagnostic Approach for Hepatocellular Carcinoma Using Glycosylated Ferritin
The percentage of glycosylated ferritin relative to total ferritin (%GF) is a novel biomarker for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), showing diagnostic performance comparable to that of AFP and DCP. We developed the GFAD index by integrating age, sex, %GF, AFP, and DCP, achieving improved diagnostic accuracy with high sensitivity and specificity. ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT Aim Steatotic liver disease (SLD) encompasses a heterogeneous spectrum with varying risks of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Limited sample sizes limit the development of predictive models, particularly for rare outcomes. This study evaluated whether generative artificial intelligence (AI)‐based synthetic data augmentation can enhance HCC risk

Among patients with CP‐A HCC initially within the Japan criteria, some lose oncological eligibility for LT before hepatic decompensation. Further studies are needed to identify baseline factors associated with poor outcomes and to evaluate their relevance to future LT candidacy.

We carried out proteomic analysis of serum extracellular vesicles to identify biomarkers predictive of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) development in patients with chronic hepatitis B receiving nucleos(t)ide analog therapy. Candidate proteins identified through proteomic analysis were subsequently quantified in serum by ELISA.
