AbstractNeuentdeckungen und Beschreibungen relativ großer Tier‐ beziehungsweise Pflanzenarten (Makroorganismen) für Mitteleuropa sind nach 250 Jahren Biodiversitätsforschung eine Seltenheit. Mit Hilfe von DNA‐Sequenzanalysen wurde nun dennoch in Süddeutschland eine neue Egelart identifiziert, deren Beschreibung bereits vor 27 Jahren begann.
