On the Minimal Uncompletable Word Problem [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Let S be a finite set of words over an alphabet Sigma. The set S is said to be complete if every word w over the alphabet Sigma is a factor of some element of S*, i.e. w belongs to Fact(S*).

Memristor‐Driven Active‐Matrix Organic Light‐Emitting Diode for Energy Efficient and High‐Resolution Displays

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates that memristors can replace conventional 2T–1C driving circuits with simplified 1T–1 m architectures by exploiting resistance switching. With ultra‐low switching voltages (< ±0.2 V) and multi‐level resistance states, the memristors precisely control the current injected into organic light‐emitting diodes (OLEDs).

Altai alphabet with cyrillic graphics

open access: yesUluslararası Türk Lehçe Araştırmaları Dergisi
During the Tsarist Russia and later during the Soviet era, the Altai Turks also had difficulty with the alphabet process, like other Turkic peoples. Tsarist Russia used these alphabets, called the "missionary alphabet" in Turkology, to bring the Turkic

Fluorescent Nanosensor for Indole‐3‐Propionic Acid Detection in Gut Health Monitoring

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This work introduces a fluorescent nanosensor system with two optical modalities for detection of indole‐3‐propionic acid (IPA) gut metabolite: (1) blue‐emitting cationic conjugated polyelectrolyte (CP3) and (2) near‐infrared (NIR)‐emitting CP3‐wrapped single‐walled carbon nanotube (SWNT).

Chamber‐Specific Decellularized Extracellular Matrices Differentially Modulate Cardiomyocyte Subtypes to Drive Engineered Heart Tissue Development and Function

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Chamber‐specific decellularized extracellular matrices (ECMs) were developed, preserving native proteomic profiles of ventricular and atrial myocardium. These innate biochemical cues differentially modulate cardiomyocyte subtypes to drive engineered heart tissue development and function, highlighting the importance of incorporating regional ECM cues in

Dual‐Peptide Nanoplatform: Mesoporous Silica Nanoparticles Functionalized With a Cell‐Penetrating Peptide and Loaded With Rationally Designed Antimicrobial Peptides for Tuberculosis Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Machine learning–guided engineering of a plectasin‐derived peptide yields DC05, a potent antimycobacterial candidate. Encapsulation into tuftsin‐functionalized mesoporous silica nanoparticles enhances intracellular delivery, stability, and activity against Mycobacterium tuberculosis while maintaining low cytotoxicity and minimal hemolysis. The combined
