Design, Synthesis and Antifungal Activity of Psoralen Derivatives

open access: yesMolecules, 2017
A series of linear furanocoumarins with different substituents have been designed and synthesized. Their structures were confirmed by 1H-NMR spectroscopy, high resolution mass spectra (EI-MS), IR, and X-ray single-crystal diffraction.

Parasitic mycobiota of yellow gentian (Gentiana lutea L.) [PDF]

open access: yesZbornik Matice Srpske za Prirodne Nauke, 2011
Mycopopulation of yellow gentian growing in plantations was studied in 2008 and 2009. Fourteen species of fungi were registered at seed, out of which five were pathogenic. The most common species was Alternaria alternata (72-74 %).

Effect of beneficial microbes applications on nutritional profiles of organic tomatoes revealed by LC‐MS‐qTOF metabolomics

open access: yesJournal of the Science of Food and Agriculture, Volume 106, Issue 4, Page 2091-2099, 15 March 2026.
Abstract BACKGROUND The use of microorganisms and biostimulants is increasingly supported in agriculture because of their advantageous impact on plant disease management, growth enhancement and the synthesis of beneficial bioactive secondary metabolites (SMs). Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) is an important crop and is consumed worldwide because it is an

Antagonistic effect of rhizospheric bacteria against white rot (Sclerotium cepivorum) of garlic (Allium sativum L.) under in vitro and in vivo conditions

open access: yesAgrosystems, Geosciences &Environment, Volume 9, Issue 1, March 2026.
Abstract Garlic (Allium sativum), a vegetable crop used for food, medicine, and condiments, is affected by white rot (Sclerotium cepivorum). Garlic yield reduction is influenced by several factors, with biotic stresses, particularly fungal pathogens, being among the most significant.

An Explainable and Lightweight CNN Framework for Robust Potato Leaf Disease Classification Using Grad‐CAM Visualization

open access: yesApplied AI Letters, Volume 7, Issue 1, February 2026.
Proposed model achieves 99.14% accuracy with near‐perfect precision, recall, and F1 across all classes; Grad‐CAM visualizations confirm focus on biologically relevant symptom‐associated regions. ABSTRACT For identifying foliar diseases in crops at an early stage, accurate detection is necessary in maintaining food security, minimizing economic losses ...

Biosynthesis of Phytotoxins fromAlternaria solani [PDF]

open access: yesBioscience, Biotechnology, and Biochemistry, 1997
Alternaria solani is a causal fungus of early blight disease of potato and tomato. Two phytotoxins, alternaric acid and solanapyrones, were isolated from the different strains of the fungus. Biosynthetic studies on these two phytotoxins have been done, and in the biosynthesis of solanapyrones, it was proved that a biological Diels-Alder reaction is ...
