Distance transitive graphs with symmetric or alternating automorphism group [PDF]

open access: yesBulletin of the Australian Mathematical Society, 1987
The paper classifies all distance transitive graphs Γ such thatAn≤ Aut Γ ≤ AutAnfor some alternating groupAn, and Aut Γ acts primitively on the vertices of Γ. This result forms part of our programme for determining all finite primitive distance transitive graphs.

Exciton‐Polaritons in Nanoscale Metal‐Organic Frameworks: A Platform for the Reversible Modulation of Strong Light‐Matter Coupling via the Chemical Environment

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Strong exciton‐photon coupling is achieved by integrating porphyrin ligand‐based MOF nanoparticles in optical cavities, as evidenced by pronounced polariton branch anticrossing. The porous nature of the resonator enables precise, reversible tuning via vapor pressure, unlocking unprecedented chemical‐environment controlled dynamic polaritonic platforms ...

Quasirandom and quasisimple groups

open access: yesDiscrete Analysis
Quasirandom and quasisimple groups, Discrete Analysis 2025:21, 24 pp. A quasirandom family of groups is a sequence of finite groups $(G_n)$ such that the smallest dimension of a non-trivial irreducible representation of $G_n$ tends to infinity with $n$.

Copper‐Based Crystalline‐Metallic Glass Composite Thin Films: A Novel Material with Enhanced Strength and Thermally Stable Nanotwins

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A Cu‐based crystal‐glass composite with high‐density twins is identified by a fast screening technique using combinatorial sputtering together with XRD and nanoindentation mapping. This bamboo‐like structure demonstrates homogenous plastic flow and retains high strength during in situ high temperature tests, up to 1 GPa at 550°C, owing to those ...

Reliability Analysis of Alternating Group Graphs and Split-Stars

open access: yesThe Computer Journal, 2020
AbstractGiven a connected graph $G$ and a positive integer $\ell $, the $\ell $-extra (resp. $\ell $-component) edge connectivity of $G$, denoted by $\lambda ^{(\ell )}(G)$ (resp. $\lambda _{\ell }(G)$), is the minimum number of edges whose removal from $G$ results in a disconnected graph so that every component has more than $\ell $ vertices (resp. so

Temperature‐Induced Nonvolatile Switching through Thermal Hysteresis in a Gd3Fe5O12/Ho3Fe5O12 Exchange‐Coupled Rare‐Earth Iron Garnet Bilayer

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Reducing power consumption in spintronic memory remains a major challenge due to the need for high current densities. A bilayer of gadolinium and holmium iron garnets enables purely temperature‐induced, nonvolatile magnetic switching with bistable states within a ±25 K range. This approach achieves up to 66‐fold lower energy use than current spin–orbit

Overcoming Debye Length Limitations in Electrolyte‐Gated Transistor Biosensors Using Nanoscale‐Grooved Oxide Semiconductors Fabricated by Thermal Nanoimprint Lithography

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Nanoscale‐grooved indium gallium oxide (IGO) semiconductors, patterned via thermal nanoimprint lithography (NIL) using CD/DVD templates, are integrated into electrolyte‐gated transistor biosensors to overcome Debye length limitations. Precisely engineered concave–convex nanostructures modulate local electrostatic potentials, extend the effective Debye ...

Drug‐Free Thrombolysis Mediated by Physically Activated Micro/Nanoparticles

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Overview of particle‐mediated thrombolytic effects (thermal, mechanical, and chemical) and their activating physical stimuli (light, ultrasound, and magnetic field) in drug‐free thrombolysis. ABSTRACT Thrombus‐associated disorders rank among the world's leading causes of death, with ischemic heart disease and stroke as the main contributors.

MagPiezo: A Magnetogenetic Platform for Remote Activation of Endogenous Piezo1 Channels in Endothelial Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
MagPiezo enables wireless activation of endogenous Piezo1 channels without genetic modification using 19 nm magnetic nanoparticles and low‐intensity magnetic fields. It generates torque forces at the piconewton scale to trigger mechanotransduction in endothelial cells, standing as a novel platform to interrogate and manipulate Piezo1 activity in vitro.
