Interpreting Patterns of Concentric Rings within Small Buoyant River Plumes
High-resolution imagery of small buoyant plumes often reveals an extensive pattern of concentric rings spreading outward from near the discharge point. Recent remote sensing studies of plumes from rivers flowing into the Black Sea propose that such rings

Nonassociative Algebras, Rings and Modules over Them
The review is devoted to nonassociative algebras, rings and modules over them. The main actual and recent trends in this area are described. Works are reviewed on radicals in nonassociative rings, nonassociative algebras related with skew polynomials ...

A mechanistic reinterpretation of fast inactivation in voltage-gated Na+ channels
The hinged-lid model was long accepted as the canonical model for fast inactivation in Nav channels. It predicts that the hydrophobic IFM motif acts intracellularly as the gating particle that binds and occludes the pore during fast inactivation. However,

Port-Hamiltonian Mathematical Model of a Fluid Ring Attitude System
In this article, we propose a mathematical model using the port-Hamiltonian formalism for a satellite’s three-axis attitude system comprising fluid rings.

Goldie's Theorem for Alternative Rings [PDF]
It is known that the socle of a semiprime Goldie ring is generated by a central idempotent and that a prime Goldie ring with a nonzero socle is a simple artinian ring. We prove the extension of these results to alternative rings. We also give an analogue of Goldie’s theorem for alternative rings.

The dependence of performance characteristics of roller bearing on material used [PDF]
The main materials for the manufacture of rolling stock bearing assemblies are steel ShKh15, ShKh15SG, ShKh4. The article discusses the possibility of using steels 20Kh2N4A, 95Kh18-Sh, 12Kh18N9T as alternative materials, an assessment of the arising ...

Crystal structure of γ-methyl l-glutamate N-carboxy anhydride
In the title compound, C7H9NO5, alternative name N-carboxy-l-glutamic anhydride γ-methyl ester, the oxazolidine ring is essentially planar with a maximum deviation of 0.020 (3) Å. In the crystal, molecules are linked by N—H...O hydrogen bonds between the

A characterization of Fuzzy neighborhood commutative division rings
We give a characterization of fuzzy neighborhood commutative division ring; and present an alternative formulation of boundedness introduced in fuzzy neighborhood rings. The notion of β-restricted fuzzy set is considered.
