Adaptive Genomic Divergence Across Altitudes in Capsella bursa‐pastoris

Biological Diversity, EarlyView.
Genomic divergence was observed between high‐altitude and low‐altitude populations of Capsella bursa‐pastoris in China, consistent with an important role of ecological factors. Candidate adaptive loci associated with enhanced energy metabolism, photoprotection, and growth plasticity under altitudinal stress were identified.

Differential Elevational Diversity Between Overstory and Understory in Tropical Forests

Tropical forest overstory and understory exhibit contrasting elevational α‐diversity patterns (unimodal vs. bimodal). Community differentiation is driven by species turnover of dominant rather than rare species, highlighting the need for vertically stratified conservation across the full elevational gradient.

Dynamic geo‐hydrogeological monitoring‐driven situational awareness for real‐time floor water inrush risk prediction in deep mining

This study demonstrates the feasibility of an underground closed‐loop thermal storage facility at a post‐mining site, intended for seasonal heat energy storage.
