Since oxide dispersion-strengthened (ODS) FeCrAl-based alloys have sufficient creep strength and good oxidation resistance at the very high temperatures of interest for the primary heat exchanger in advanced, closed-cycle gas turbine systems, they constitute viable alternative candidates to ceramics.
