Nanostructure of Gel-Derived Aluminosilicate Materials
Langmuir, 2007In the present work, aluminosilicate aerogels prepared under various conditions were compared with respect to their nanostructures and porosity. The purpose of this investigation was to find a suitable way to predict the final product structure and to tailor a required texture.

Fracture of an Aluminosilicate Fiberboard
Journal of the American Ceramic Society, 1997Mode‐I fracture of aluminosilicate fiberboard that is used in large mirror casting molds was studied. The material was idealized as a transversely isotropic, layered composite that was composed of planar sheets of crosslinked fibers. Elastic constants, the toughness ( K

Creep of aluminosilicate refractories
Refractories, 1969Investigations were made of the creep of industrial aluminosilicate refractories of various types, differing as regards the original materials, phase composition, the properties of the glass phase, and the structure. The results of the investigations characterize the plastic properties of materials in a fairly broad range of temperatures and stresses.

Imogolite: a unique aluminosilicate
Clay Minerals, 1969The fibrous aluminosilicate imogolite has been studied by electronoptical and infrared absorption methods. Electron diffraction patterns are interpreted in terms of repeat units of 8·4 Å parallel and 23 Å perpendicular to the fibre axis. These spacings can not be reconciled with a continuous silicate chain structure and this conclusion is supported by ...

Energetics of complex aluminosilicates
AIP Conference Proceedings, 1987Systematic trends seen in the thermodynamics of aluminosilicate crystals and glasses at high temperature may be applicable to the complex aluminosilicates encountered as porus media. Specific features of the energetics of charge‐coupled subsitutions (e.g. Si4+→Al3+Na+), of Al,Si order‐disorder, and of the many metastable states shown by crystalline and
