Sorption of La3+ cations by zeolites from aqueous solutions

open access: yesФизико-химические аспекты изучения кластеров, наноструктур и наноматериалов
It is shown that the sorption of lanthanum cations by synthetic aluminosilicate zeolite, unlike natural ones, increases both in acidic and neutral conditions by 4 times (from 8 to 26%) and 8 times (from 4 to 33%), and the sorption capacity increases by ...

Cold‐curing effects on the strength development and sulfuric acid resistance of basalt fiber‐reinforced hybrid alkali‐activated slag mortars

open access: yesStructural Concrete, EarlyView.
Abstract Cold weather conditions impose substantial constraints upon the performance and long‐term resilience of concrete materials. Alkali‐activated slag (AAS) presents itself as a promising substitute, exhibiting sustained hydraulic activity even when exposed to ambient conditions characterized by low temperatures.

Automated particle analysis of D.B. Cooper's tie

open access: yesJournal of Forensic Sciences, EarlyView.
Abstract Automated particle analysis (APA) using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy‐dispersive x‐ray spectrometry (EDS) is a well‐known method in forensics, especially as it is applied to gunshot residue analysis. Here we describe the analysis of particles lifted from D.B. Cooper's tie, which was left on the hijacked plane in 1971.
