Aluminum Bases for the Highly Chemoselective Preparation of Aryl and Heteroaryl Aluminum Compounds [PDF]

open access: possibleAngewandte Chemie International Edition, 2009
AbstractSelective CH activation with a series of neutral aluminum trisamide bases led to a wide range of polyfunctional aryl and heteroaryl aluminum reagents. Ester and cyano groups are stable under the reaction conditions for this direct alumination, and donor oxygen substituents are efficient directing groups. High metalation regioselectivities were

Aluminum Phenylphosphonates:  A Fertile Family of Compounds

Inorganic Chemistry, 1998
Six aluminum phenylphosphonates have been synthesized depending upon the synthetic conditions: Al(2)(O(3)PC(6)H(5))(3).2H(2)O (I), Al(2)(O(3)PC(6)H(5))(3) (II), alpha-Al(HO(3)PC(6)H(5))(O(3)PC(6)H(5)).H(2)O (III), beta-Al(HO(3)PC(6)H(5))(O(3)PC(6)H(5)).H(2)O (IV), Al(HO(3)PC(6)H(5))(3).H(2)O (V), and Al(OH)(O(3)PC(6)H(5)) (VI).

Compounds of Phosphorus with Silicon and Aluminum

Angewandte Chemie International Edition in English, 1966
AbstractThe formation and properties of silicon‐phosphorus and aluminum‐phosphorus compounds are described. Silylphosphines are decomposed solvolytically by H2O, C2H5OH, NH3, hydrogen halides, C2H5I, and boron halides at the SiP bond; decomposition may be preceded by formation of an addition compound.

The Health Effects of Aluminum Compounds in Mammals

CRC Critical Reviews in Toxicology, 1984
This review, which is based on evaluation of information published in the last decade related to the health effects of aluminum compounds in mammals, directs attention to the well-documented effects of A1(III) compounds on phosphate metabolism. It is suggested that the toxic effects currently associated with A1(III) compounds are dependent upon the ...

Neptunium-Aluminum Intermetallic Compounds [PDF]

open access: possibleJOM, 1953
The intermetallic compounds NpAI2, NpAI3, and NpAI4 have been prepared, and examined by X-ray diffraction methods. The compounds are isostructural with the corresponding U-AI compounds. NpAI2 is face-centered cubic with a = 7.785A and has the MgCu2 structure. NpAI3 is simple cubic with a = 4.262A and has the AuCu3 structure.

Aluminum compounds as vaccine adjuvants

Advanced Drug Delivery Reviews, 1998
Aluminum compounds are the only adjuvants used widely with routine human vaccines and are the most common adjuvants in veterinary vaccines also. Though there has been a search for alternate adjuvants, aluminum adjuvants will continue to be used for many years due to their good track record of safety, low cost and adjuvanticity with a variety of ...

1,3-Diaryltriazenido compounds of aluminum

Inorganic Chemistry, 1993
Reaction of AlH( i Bu) 2 with 1 and 2 equiv of 1,3-diphenyltriazene, (Ph)NNN(H)(Ph), yields Al( i Bu) 2 [N(Ph)NN(Ph)] (1) Al( i Bu)[N(Ph)NN(Ph)] 2 (2), respectively. Compound 2 undergoes ligand exchange in solution to give an equimolar mixture of 1 and Al[N(Ph)NN(Ph)] 3 . The reaction of Al[ t Bu) 3 with (Ph)NNN(H)(Ph) gives Al( t Bu) 2 [N(Ph)NN(Ph)]

Cyclopentadienyl-aluminum compounds I. The reactions of cyclopentadiene with aluminum alkyls

Journal of Organometallic Chemistry, 1971
Abstract The reactions of cyclopentadiene with aluminum alkyls were investigated. The metalation reaction occurs with formation of cyclopentadienyldiisobutylaluminum and is accompanied by side reactions. The facile addition of trialkylaluminum compounds to dicyclopentadiene is reported.
