Synthesis of Crosslinked Biopolyesters Catalyzed by Natural Amino Acids

open access: yesAsian Journal of Organic Chemistry, EarlyView.
Highly crosslinked bio‐polyesters were synthesized via the ROCOP reaction between epoxidized sunflower oil and biobased cyclic anhydrides. The resulting materials were comprehensively characterized by FT‐IR, TGA, and DSC. A cross‐linked network in the bio‐based polymers has been confirmed by dynamic mechanical analysis.

Comparative Antimicrobial Properties of Sodium Borate and Carbonate and their Perborate and Percarbonate Counterparts

open access: yesAdvanced NanoBiomed Research, EarlyView.
Novel oxygen and hydrogen peroxide‐releasing polymeric films for the treatment of wounds with insufficient blood supply (ischemia) are developed. These films sped up healing in ischemic rat wounds and reduced bacterial growth and biofilm formation.

Total Synthesis and Structural Revision of (‐)‐Sodagnitin E

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie International Edition, Accepted Article.
We report the total synthesis of malabaricane triterpene sodagnitin E, marking the first synthesis of any malabaricane natural product to date. The enantioselective synthesis of two key fragments, followed by their coupling via a Mukaiyama aldol reaction delivered the triterpene framework in a convergent synthesis.

AUREOMYCIN AND ALUMINUM HYDROXIDE

Journal of the American Medical Association, 1949
To the Editor:— Aureomycin given orally is effective in many microbial infections. The simultaneous oral administration of aluminum hydroxide gel and aureomycin will in some instances reduce the epigastric distress, nausea and vomiting that occasionally occur when aureomycin is given alone.

Aluminum hydroxide nebulization-induced redox imbalance and acute lung inflammation in mice

Experimental Lung Research, 2020
Purpose: Aluminum is the third most abundant metal in the earth’s crust and is widely used in industry. Chronic contact with aluminum results in a reduction in the activity of electron transport chain complexes, leading to excessive production of ...
