The Production of Porous Aluminum Hydroxide using Aluminum Nanopowder
2005 11th International Scientific and Practical Conference of Students, Post-graduates and Young Scientists - Modern Technique and Technologies, 2005Aluminum hydroxide is made good use of production of ceramic materials, is applied to catalytic agent production, and is also widespread technical adsorbent, filling material of polymer and others. The application productivity of aluminum hydroxide is depends on method of its production and type of source material. These substances are usually produced

Interactions of Bovine Serum Albumin with Aluminum Polyoxocations and Aluminum Hydroxide
Langmuir, 2006Interactions of aqueous solutions of aluminum polyoxocations (Al13-mers and Al30-mers) and aluminum hydroxide suspensions of varying particle sizes (26, 55, and 82 nm) with a model protein, bovine serum albumin (BSA), have been investigated using potentiometry, conductometry, viscometry, 27Al solution NMR, UV-vis spectroscopy, dynamic light scattering,

The Dissolution of Aluminum in Sodium Hydroxide Solutions [PDF]
In continuation of a previous study (1) of the dissolution of commercially pure aluminum (99.2% Al) in alkaline solutions, the effect of impurities, concentration of sodium hydroxide, temperature, agitation, and the effect of an external current on the dissolution of a series of aluminum specimens ranging in composition from 99.2 to 99.998 per cent Al ...

Formation of Aluminum Hydroxides as Influenced by Aluminum Salts and Bases
Clays and Clay Minerals, 1995AbstractThe influence of different ions in the formation of Al(OH)3 polymorphs has been studied experimentally by promoting stoichiometric reactions between the aluminum salts (AlCl3, Al(NO3)3, Al2(SO4)3) and bases (NaOH, KOH, NH4OH). In all cases the polymorphs obtained were a mixture of gibbsite, bayerite and nordstrandite or pseudoboehmite with the ...

Structure of Aluminum Hydroxide Gel
The Journal of Chemical Physics, 1968X-ray measurements of three aluminum hydroxide gels indicate that the Al3+ ion is coordinated by an octahedral arrangement of oxygen sites and the relationship between the remaining oxygens is essentially the same as in liquid water.

Perchlorate removal by acidified zero-valent aluminum and aluminum hydroxide
Chemosphere, 2010Removal of perchlorate using either acid-washed zero-valent aluminum or aluminum hydroxide was studied in batch reactors under ambient temperature and pressure. Approximately 90-95% of perchlorate was removed within 24h in the presence of 35 g L(-1) aluminum at acidic pH (4.5+/-0.2).
