Fast reaction of aluminum nanoparticles promoted by oxide shell
Journal of Applied Physics, 2019Combustion of aluminum nanoparticles (AlNPs) has long been investigated experimentally because of their use in various energetic formulations for propellants and explosives. But the limited spatiotemporal resolution in experiments, in particular, makes it challenging to explore the microstructural evolution of AlNP oxidation and associated mechanisms ...

Synthesis of oxide-free aluminum nanoparticles for application to conductive film
Nanotechnology, 2018Aluminum nanoparticles are considered promising as alternatives to conventional ink materials, replacing silver and copper nanoparticles, due to their extremely low cost and low melting temperature. However, a serious obstacle to realizing their use as conductive ink materials is the oxidation of aluminum.

Immunization of mice with peptomers covalently coupled to aluminum oxide nanoparticles
Vaccine, 1999Subunit vaccines generally require adjuvants to elicit immune responses, but adjuvants may alter the conformation of critical epitopes and reduce vaccine efficacy. We therefore tested an immunization strategy in which antigen is covalently coupled to aluminum oxide nanoparticles using a method that favors preservation of the native conformation.

Oxidation of Levitated exo-Tetrahydrodicyclopentadiene Droplets Doped with Aluminum Nanoparticles
The Journal of Physical Chemistry Letters, 2019Advancement of the next generation of air-breathing propulsion systems will require developing novel high-energy fuels by adding high energy-density materials such as aluminum to enhance fuel performance. We present original measurements, obtained by exploiting the ultrasonic levitation technique, to elucidate the oxidation of exo ...

Proteomic analysis of flooded soybean root exposed to aluminum oxide nanoparticles
Journal of Proteomics, 2015Aluminum oxide (Al2O3) nanoparticles are used in agricultural products and cause various adverse growth effects on different plant species. To study the effects of Al2O3 nanoparticles on soybean under flooding stress, a gel-free proteomic technique was used.
