Successful use of ECLS in cardiopulmonary failure due to aluminum phosphide poising

open access: yesEgyptian Journal of Critical Care Medicine, 2016
The use of ECLS in the treatment of poisoned patients has been recently reviewed by de Lange et al. [1], but a case of aluminum phosphide poising supported by ECLS has not been described yet.

Human Zinc Phosphide Exposure in Lebanon: A Case Report and Review of the Literature

open access: yesClinical Practice and Cases in Emergency Medicine, 2021
Introduction: Toxicity from rodenticides such as metal phosphides is common worldwide, particularly in developing countries where consumers have access to unlabeled and uncontrolled insecticides and pesticides.

An interesting case of aluminum phosphide poisoning [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Emergency Practice and Trauma, 2015
Ingestion and inhalation of phosphine are 2 forms of toxicity and their clinical manifestation is extremely wide. A 22-year-old girl was admitted with complaints of nausea, vomiting and epigastric pain after eating lunch. She had a history of celiac disease. On arrival, she was alert and hemodynamically stable. There was not any abdominal tenderness or

First principles investigation of high thermal conductivity in hexagonal boron phosphide [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2022
Designing and searching for high lattice thermal conductivity materials in both bulk and nanoscale level is highly demanding for electronics cooling. Boron phosphide is a III-V compound semiconductor with superior structural and thermal properties. In this work, we studied the lattice thermal conductivity of hexagonal boron phosphide(h-BP) using first ...

Metal nanoring and tube formation on carbon nanotubes [PDF]

open access: yesPhys. Rev. B 66, 045409 (2002), 2002
The structural and electronic properties of aluminum covered single wall carbon nanotubes (SWNT) are studied from first-principles for a large number of coverage. Aluminum-aluminum interaction that is stronger than aluminum-tube interaction, prevents uniform metal coverage, and hence gives rise to the clustering.

International Price-Fixing Cartels and Developing Countries: A Discussion of Effects and Policy Remedies [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
The U.S. Department of Justice, the European Commission, and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development have all recently voiced concern about international price- fixing cartels. The U.S.

Nanoscopic charge fluctuations in a gallium phosphide waveguide measured by single molecules [PDF]

open access: yesPhys. Rev. Lett. 126, 133602 (2021), 2020
We present efficient coupling of single organic molecules to a gallium phosphide subwavelength waveguide (nanoguide). By examining and correlating the temporal dynamics of various single-molecule resonances at different locations along the nanoguide, we reveal light-induced fluctuations of their Stark shifts.

Investigating the effects of dihydroxyacetone on oxidative stress factors and histology of heart and liver tissue in acute aluminum phosphide poisoning

open access: yesمجله علمی دانشگاه علوم پزشکی کردستان, 2023
Background and Aim: Aluminum phosphide poisoning has a high mortality rate because of the production of phosphine gas and refractory hypotension. Based on the effect of dihydroxyacetone on the treatment of hypotension and reduction of cytochrome C ...
