Atrazine adsorption and desorption on functionalized montmorillonite: aluminum-pillared and lithium saturated

Journal of Environmental Science and Health, Part B, 2022
Atrazine is an herbicide used worldwide, and it is considered a severe environmental contaminant. The present study aims to evaluate the atrazine adsorption in aqueous media in montmorillonite samples which were either in natural state or functionalized through saturation with lithium and pillarization with aluminum by different methods ...

Ultrasonic wave propagation in water-saturated aluminum foams

Ultrasonics, 1998
Abstract In this paper, we present an experimental study of ultrasonic wave propagation in water-saturated cellular aluminum foams using the pulse transmission method. The aluminum foam samples have an essentially open cell structure with fixed cell size and structure, but different porosities (from 88% to 95%).

Freezing of water saturated in aluminum wool mats

Heat and Mass Transfer, 2007
This paper is concerned with the freezing of water saturated in aluminum wool mats (AWM) around a cooling pipe. Two arrangements of AWM around the pipe are considered, i.e. a disk-type and a roll-type. Freezing mass M(kg/m2) in the disk type for a porosity ɛ = 0.95, indicates to be two times larger compared with that without AWM (i.e.
