Ion distribution and saturation magnetization of aluminum substituted lithium ferrites

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Magnetics, 1995
Ion distribution is determined in a series of aluminum substituted lithium ferrites by carefully analyzing the powder X-ray diffraction patterns. A new finding is that Al/sup +3/'s substitute the Fe/sup +3/'s in tetrahedral sites as well as in octahedral sites of the spinel structure.

Investigation of the processes of dissolution and saturation of aluminum melts by iron

Russian Journal of Non-Ferrous Metals, 2007
The process of dissolution of iron-containing additives in aluminum melts is considered. Based on the data of the investigation of the kinetics and saturation of Al melts by iron, recommendations on the modes of remelting of the aluminum melt polluted with iron are made. The mechanism of formation and growth of the intermetallic layer is suggested.

SOIL pH, ALUMINUM SATURATION, AND CORN GRAIN YIELD1

Soil Science, 1979
ABSTRACTAfter more than half a century of research on the effect of soil pH and aluminum toxicity on corn (Zea mays L.) growth, there still is no general agreement on whether soil pH or some measure of potential aluminum toxicity, such as aluminum saturation, should be the criterion used to ...

The relationship of soil ph to aluminum saturation and exchangeable aluminum in ultisols and oxisols

Communications in Soil Science and Plant Analysis, 1986
Abstract For soil acidity assessment purposes, the relationship of either percent Al saturation or exchangeable Al to water pH is often misleading for tropical soils. Published data from studies using Ultisols and Oxisols were used to determine whether relationships between Al saturation or exchangeable Al and pH in 1M KCl and pHo are better criteria ...

Saturation magnetization and magnetostriction of Ni3Mn alloys containing aluminum and copper

Soviet Physics Journal (English Translation of Izvestiia Vysshykh Uchebnykh Zavedenii, Fizika), 1981
An experimental investigation was made into the influence of the addition of copper and aluminum on the saturation magnetization Js and magnetostriction λs of the Ni3Mn alloy. It is shown that the behavior of Js and λs depends on the distribution of the atoms of the added element over the sites of the fcc lattice of the Ni3Mn alloy.
