Solubility and Hydrolysis of Aluminum in Soil Solutions and Saturated‐paste Extracts

Soil Science Society of America Journal, 1970
Abstract Three Coastal Plains soils that had exhibited different “critical” pH values for maximum cotton yields in field experiments were analyzed for Al solubility. Fertilized soil was used to verify critical pH by a root‐growth experiment in a growthchamber and to obtain displaced soil solutions (⅓‐bar moisture)

Lateral hysteretic behavior of an aluminum model pile in saturated loose sand

Journal of the Chinese Institute of Engineers, 2013
Pushover tests of an aluminum model pile in saturated loose sand were conducted at the National Center for Research on Earthquake Engineering of Taiwan (NCREE). The test data are analyzed to investigate the lateral hysteretic response of the pile. The pushover curves of the pile show a significant loop of hysteresis.

The Corrosion of 1100 Aluminum in Oxygen-Saturated Water at 70°C

Journal of The Electrochemical Society, 1963
In oxygen-saturated distilled water at 70 deg C, the rate and amount of corrosion of aluminum during short exposure are influenced by experimental conditions. One effect is that contamination of the water by the reaction increases the corrosion rate. Subsequent to the first several days, the amount of corrosion varied with the logarithm of the exposure

Aluminum oxide nanoparticles as saturable absorber for C-band passively Q-switched fiber laser

Applied Optics, 2017
We report on aluminum oxide nanoparticles (Al2O3 NPs) as a saturable absorber (SA) for passively Q-switched erbium-doped fiber laser (EDFL) operating at a wavelength of 1560.6 nm within the C-band region. A thin film of Al2O3-SA was prepared using polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) as a host polymer.

Cation‐Exchange Equilibrium Constants of Aluminum‐Saturated Montmorillonite and Vermiculite Clays

Soil Science Society of America Journal, 1968
Abstract Equilibrium constants of aluminum‐saturated montmorillonite and vermiculite clay minerals were studied in chloride‐salt solutions at concentrations similar to those occurring in soil. Studies were limited to cations occurring most abundantly in soil solutions, viz., H +

Soil aluminum saturation threshold for subtropical crops in no-tillage system

Soil Research
Context Neutralising native soil Al3+ is crucial in subtropical agriculture before implementing no-tillage (NT). Aims The aim of this study was to monitor variations in soil Al saturation and crop yields over 34 years in a field trial ...
