Titanium and aluminum in siliceous sinters

Chemical Geology, 1969
Abstract The TiO 2 and Al 2 O 3 contents of siliceous sinters, formed from different thermal waters, were discussed in terms of their SiO 2 content. The sinters from acid thermal waters are characterized by their high TiO 2 Al 2 O 3 and TiO 2 SiO 2 ratios.

Cytotoxicity of aluminum silicates in primary neuronal cultures

Neuroscience, 1993
To study their cytotoxicity, clays containing aluminum silicates were added to cultures of primary murine spinal cord neurons and differentiated N1E-115 neuroblastoma cells. Bentonite (0.1 mg/ml) and montmorillonite (0.1 mg/ml) rapidly associated with the outer membrane of both N1E-115 and neuronal cells.

Defects in Aluminum Coatings on Silicate Glass

Glass and Ceramics, 2001
Defects in fine aluminum coatings on silicate glasses are investigated using x-ray electron spectroscopy, secondary ionic mass-spectroscopy, and optical microscopy. The reasons for the emergence of defects are discussed.

Aluminum modified colloidal silica via sodium silicate

Materials Letters, 2004
Abstract The colloidal silica via sodium silicate was modified by adding the Al ion in the surface growth process of colloidal silica. The particle sizes of modified colloidal silica were decreased by increasing the seed concentration. But the particle size of colloidal silica was slight increased as seeds concentration was 30 wt.%.
