Abstract Ocean alkalinity enhancement (OAE) is an emerging carbon dioxide CO2 removal approach for climate change mitigation and can be implemented with various alkaline materials that convert dissolved CO2 into (bi)carbonates, enabling additional atmospheric CO2 removal. A key knowledge gap is how alkaline materials affect marine life.

Abstract Refractory inclusions (RIs) in chondrites are widely used as tracers of early solar system formation conditions. Abstract The spectral analysis of CM meteorites can help to constrain the mineralogical composition of their parent body, the C‐type asteroids. The CM2 NWA 12184 was spectrally examined employing seven complementary techniques at different spatial resolutions, including VIS‐to‐MIR reflectance and Raman spectroscopy.

Experimental simulations of space weathering on pentlandite
Abstract Pentlandite (Fe, Ni)9S8 is an important accessory mineral on asteroidal surfaces. It has been identified in returned regolith samples from asteroids Itokawa, Ryugu, and Bennu. Currently, systematic studies to understand the response of this mineral phase under space weathering conditions are lacking.
