A workflow for 3D printing highly accurate, customized human skull models for anatomical education and clinical practice

open access: yesAnatomical Sciences Education, EarlyView.
Our custom workflow creates anatomically accurate and diverse 3D skull models. Precise sex‐specific anatomical detail is ensured by CT‐based segmentation. Our models capture anatomical variations and pathologies. Our cost‐effective 3D printing workflow enhances model durability and fidelity.

Learning beyond the lab: A gamified approach to anatomy education in a museum‐based experience

open access: yesAnatomical Sciences Education, EarlyView.
Abstract Anatomy education, traditionally rooted in descriptive instruction and cadaveric dissection, is undergoing a significant transformation through the integration of educational technologies and contemporary pedagogical strategies. Among these, active learning methodologies, such as gamified‐based learning, have emerged as approaches designed to ...

Induction and Enhancement of Bacteriocin Production (Review)

open access: yesBiotechnology and Bioengineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Conventionally, bacteriocins are produced by microorganisms on complex substrates, released as semi‐purified preparations or crude fermentates. These bacteriocin‐containing products often exhibit unsatisfactory purity, low active‐substance content, and high production costs, limiting their commercialization and use. This review aims to analyze

Primary Repair of the Alveolar Cleft

open access: yesJournal of Craniofacial Surgery, 2011
Nasoalveolar fistula and oropharyngeal fistula of the anterior palatal region are very commonly seen in cases when there are concomitant clefts of the lip and the palate. Absence of adequate tissue in that region complicates the treatment and necessitates new tissue transfers from near or distant tissues. Today, the techniques used for correcting cleft

Alveolar bone grafting in the treatment of midline alveolar cleft and diastema in incomplete median cleft lip

International Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, 2008
Median cleft lip is a rare congenital anomaly. The wide diastema with mesial tipping observed in these patients has been largely overlooked. A midline submucosal alveolar cleft prevents adequate treatment. The purpose of this article is to describe an alveolar bone grafting (ABG) technique used in the combined surgical-orthodontic approach to diastema ...
