Alveolar ridge augmentation--a case series.
General dentistry, 2012This study presents case reports of patients with osseous defects who were treated with autogenous bone grafts from the symphysis region, alloplast grafts with barrier membrane, and the use of free gingival onlay grafts for alveolar ridge augmentation. The patients were followed for a period of six months.

ACRYLIC-CERAMIC COMPOSITE FOR ALVEOLAR RIDGE AUGMENTATION
1983Publisher Summary This chapter discusses the acrylic-ceramic composite for alveolar ridge augmentation. A composite material was used for alveolar ridge augmentation. The material devised was based on the self-curing acrylic system used as bone cement for joint prostheses.

Long-term results of alveolar ridge augmentation.
Journal of oral surgery (American Dental Association : 1965), 1979Autologous onlay rib grafts in 22 patients were evaluated for bone remodeling patterns. The patients had been followed up for four to ten years; the mean was 6.2 years. The unquantitated increase in bony mass of the mandible, with altered ridge form and subsequent soft tissue surgery, provided consistent, predictable results and return to excellent ...

[Vertical alveolar ridge augmentation using distraction osteogenesis].
Refu'at ha-peh veha-shinayim (1993), 2001Alveolar ridge atrophy can be acquired or congenital. Alveolar ridge augmentation can be performed using bone grafting but a donor site morbidity is unavoidable and some resorption of the grafted bone occurs. Distraction osteogenesis offers an alternative method for bone reconstruction without donor site morbidity and sufficient stability of the final ...
