During the feeding of larvae and nymphs of A. lahorensis haemorrhagic inflammation develops in the rabbit's skin. Lymphocytes and macrophages are the dominant cell elements in the reaction while during the feeding of nymphs eosinophilous leucocytes are observed in great number in the infiltrate.
