Corrosion Behavior and Adsorption Thermodynamics of Some Schiff Bases on Mild Steel Corrosion in Industrial Water Medium

open access: yesInternational Journal of Corrosion, Volume 2013, Issue 1, 2013., 2013
The inhibition performance and adsorption behavior of (E)‐2‐(3‐nitrobenzylidene) hydrazine carbothioamide (SB1) and (E)‐2‐(4‐(dimethylamino) benzylidene) hydrazine carbothioamide (SB2) on mild steel corrosion in industrial water medium have been investigated by gravimetric, potentiodynamic polarization and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS ...

3‐Methyl‐4‐Nitrobenzoate Derivates as Antifungal Drug Candidates: Biological and In Silico Evaluation

open access: yesJournal of Chemistry, Volume 2025, Issue 1, 2025.
The Candida genus includes many opportunistic pathogens of great clinical importance, being commonly involved in several superficial and systemic human fungal infections. In this study, eleven 3‐methyl‐4‐nitrobenzoate derivates were prepared and evaluated against four Candida strains (Candida albicans ATCC‐90028, C. glabrata 90,030, C.

Linear and Angular Distyrylpyrazines with Terminal Donor Groups: Synthesis, Solvatochromism, and Acidochromism of the Electronic Spectra

open access: yesInternational Scholarly Research Notices, Volume 2011, Issue 1, 2011., 2011
A series of linear and angular distyrylpyrazines and lateral donor groups has been prepared by aldol condensation between dimethylpyrazines and the appropriate aromatic aldehyde. The optical absorption and emission properties of these systems were studied in different solvents and media.

CerM and Its Antagonist CerN Are New Components of the Quorum Sensing System in Cereibacter sphaeroides, Signaling to the CckA/ChpT/CtrA System

open access: yesMicrobiologyOpen, Volume 13, Issue 6, December 2024.
The quorum sensing (QS) system of Cereibacter sphaeroides includes six LuxR homologs and one acylhomoserine lactone synthase homolog. Two LuxR homologs, CerM and CerN, are involved in regulating the expression of ctrA, which is part of the CckA/ChpT/CtrA two‐component system that controls flagellar motility.

QSAR Analysis of 5‐Substituted‐2‐Benzoyl‐aminobenzoic acids as PPAR Modulator

open access: yesJournal of Chemistry, Volume 1, Issue 5, Page 243-250, 2004., 2004
A quantitative structure activity relationship (QSAR) study on a series of analogs of 5‐aryl thiazolidine‐2, 4‐diones with activity on PPAR‐α and PPAR‐γ was made using combination of various thermodynamic, electronic and spatial descriptors. Several statistical regression expressions were obtained using multiple linear regression analysis.

Household chaos and parenting: The effect of household chaos does not depend on sensory‐processing sensitivity and self‐regulation

open access: yesInfant Mental Health Journal: Infancy and Early Childhood, Volume 45, Issue 2, Page 165-184, March 2024.
Abstract Previous studies have found evidence for a causal effect of household chaos on parenting and suggest that this effect may be stronger for parents with higher sensory‐processing sensitivity (SPS) or lower self‐regulation. This study investigates whether primary caregivers of children around age 1.5–2 years show greater improvement in parenting ...
