Characterization of Universal Composite Resin Filler Particles
ABSTRACT Objective Characterize the morphology and distribution of filler particles of universal composite resins using Scanning Electron Microscopy, and calculate the residual filler mass fraction (filler wt%) of each composite resin with Thermogravimetric Analysis to compare the data with the respective filler wt% reported in the literature.

Genes, fish and fisheries: translating science into policy
Abstract The 2024 Annual Symposium of the Fisheries Society of the British Isles reviewed the burgeoning impact of ‘omics’ technologies on fish ecology, management and forecasting. As with life sciences more generally, major advances in speed, cost‐effectiveness and breadth of applications in ‘omics’ has had profound societal and environmental impacts.

Validation of clinically related aging models based on enamel wear
Abstract Purpose Physiological and erosive wear reported in clinical studies were reviewed, and in vitro aging models were developed to simulate and compare the effect of aging on human teeth with the review data obtained from clinical studies. Methods A review of clinical studies and randomized clinical trials that quantify enamel wear was performed ...

ABSTRACT According to the social‐ecological systems view, a resilient supply chain possesses the ability to persist, adapt, and transform in the face of disruptions. Extant research has identified a range of antecedents that foster supply chain resilience but without distinguishing between those that are sufficient and those that are necessary.

Abstract It is well‐recognized in the sciences that a multitude of nonequivalent models are used by researchers to fulfill a range of goals, even for the same target system, a result known broadly as model pluralism. The possibility of the same form of pluralism occurring in logic, however, has not been adequately considered.

Agricultural pond restoration enhances species richness in non‐biting midges (Diptera: Chironomidae)
Agricultural ponds are biodiversity hotspots, especially when restored to open‐canopy conditions. Studies comparing pre‐ and post‐restoration pond diversity are rare, however, and have widely focused on “easy‐to‐identify” taxa. Chironomids have so far been neglected in pond restoration studies, but are a highly speciose group critical to aquatic ...

ABSTRACT An investigation of allogenic forcings on shallow‐marine strata of the Miocene–Pliocene Kueichulin Formation, Taiwan Western Foreland Basin, reveals that shifts in palaeoenvironments were strongly controlled by: (1) orogenesis and basin subsidence, (2) precession‐driven hydroclimate and (3) obliquity‐driven atmospheric and ocean circulation ...
