HgTe Nanocrystals Carrier Density and Its Tuning

open access: yesSmall Structures, Volume 6, Issue 8, August 2025.
The review discusses methods that control the carrier density of HgTe nanocrystals that are relevant for infrared sensing. Strategies at the nanoscale (surface chemistry, size…) and device level (gate, remote doping) are both discussed. HgTe nanocrystals (NCs) are now an established material for colloidal optoelectronics.

Effect of surface conditioning protocols on the repair bond strength of resin composite to CAD/CAM blocks: Bioactive‐glass, silica‐coated alumina, or aluminum oxide?

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Oral Sciences, Volume 133, Issue 4, August 2025.
Abstract This study evaluated the repair bond strengths of ceramic and hybrid ceramic CAD/CAM restorations following bioactive‐glass, silica‐coated alumina, and aluminum oxide surface treatments. Shear bond strength (SBS) tests, surface roughness, and scanning electron microscopic (SEM) evaluations were performed on 180 specimens (7×12×2 mm3 and 5×5×3 ...

Exploring the Potential of Zein Nanoparticles in Personalised Cancer Therapy, Highlighting Their Various Methodologies, Applications and Challenges

open access: yesJournal of Cellular and Molecular Medicine, Volume 29, Issue 15, August 2025.
ABSTRACT Zein, a corn‐derived prolamine protein, has become a powerful ally in the fight against cancer, particularly non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC.) Its unique attributes, enriched by modifiable hydroxyl and amino groups, have led to the development of advanced functionalised drug delivery systems. Innovative techniques like chemical crosslinking,
