On the embedding of Gamma-semigroup amalgam [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2020
Gamma-semigroup is introduced as a generalization of semigroups by M. K Sen and Saha. In this paper we describe amalgam of two Gamma-semigroups and discuss the embeddability of this amalgam. Further we obtained a necessary condition for the embeddability of completely alpha-regular Gamma-semigroup amalgam.

Current Landscape of Short‐T2 Imaging Techniques in the Musculoskeletal System: The Past, Present and Future

open access: yesJournal of Magnetic Resonance Imaging, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Conventional MRI is limited in imaging tissues with short T2 relaxation times, such as bone, ligaments, and cartilage, due to their rapid signal decay. This limitation has spurred the development of specialized MRI techniques designed specifically for short‐T2 tissue imaging.

Clinical periodontal diagnosis

open access: yesPeriodontology 2000, EarlyView., 2023
Abstract Periodontal diseases include pathological conditions elicited by the presence of bacterial biofilms leading to a host response. In the diagnostic process, clinical signs such as bleeding on probing, development of periodontal pockets and gingival recessions, furcation involvement and presence of radiographic bone loss should be assessed prior ...

Efficiency of oral keratinized gingiva detection and measurement based on convolutional neural network

open access: yesJournal of Periodontology, EarlyView.
Abstract Background With recent advances in artificial intelligence, the use of this technology has begun to facilitate comprehensive tissue evaluation and planning of interventions. This study aimed to assess different convolutional neural networks (CNN) in deep learning algorithms to detect keratinized gingiva based on intraoral photos and evaluate ...

The Circular Phosphorus Economy: Agronomic Performance of Recycled Fertilizers and Target Crops

open access: yesJournal of Plant Nutrition and Soil Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background The circular phosphorus (P) economy addresses economic and environmental penalties inherent to the current linear P economy. Phosphorus sources recovered from waste steams (recyclates) offer an alternative to conventional fertilizers. Aim This research aimed to assess the agronomic performance of P recyclates derived from wastewater

The Hanf number for amalgamation of coloring classes [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2014
We study amalgamation properties in a family of abstract elementary classes that we call coloring classes. The family includes the examples previously studied in previous work of Baldwin, Kolesnikov, and Shelah. We establish that the amalgamation property is equivalent to the disjoint amalgamation property in all coloring classes; find the Hanf number ...

A multi‐proxy record of climate variability during the Loch Lomond Stadial (GS‐1) at Old Buckenham Mere, East England, UK

open access: yesJournal of Quaternary Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Northwest Europe experienced high‐amplitude climate change at the onset and end of the Younger Dryas (YD; ca 12 800–11 600 cal a BP), a crucial period to develop our understanding of natural climate dynamics. European palaeoclimatological records generally suggest a bipartite structure of the YD, potentially due to a northward retreat of the ...

Fourier transforms on an amalgam type space [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2012
We introduce an amalgam type space, a subspace of $L^1(\mathbb R_+).$ Integrability results for the Fourier transform of a function with the derivative from such an amalgam space are proved. As an application we obtain estimates for the integrability of trigonometric series.

Carter Subgroups, Amalgams, Simple Groups, and the Zp*-theorem [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2015
We consider an amalgam of groups constructed from fusion systems for different odd primes p and q. This amalgam contains a self-normalizing cyclic subgroup of order pq and isolated elements of order p and q.
