NMNAT1 Activates Autophagy to Delay D‐Galactose‐Induced Aging in Cochlear Hair Cells

open access: yesAging Cell, Volume 25, Issue 2, February 2026.
The study presents mechanistic insights into cochlear hair cells aging using cellular and explant models. The assessment into NMNAT1 regulated NAD+ metabolism, autophagy, and aging in ARHL. NMNAT1 overexpression restores autophagic activity and decelerates aging in cochlear hair cells.

Numerical Model and Experimental Validation of Composite Metal Foam in Protecting Carbon Steel Against Puncture

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 28, Issue 1, January 2026.
The puncture prevention and energy absorption performance of composite metal foam (CMF) are studied experimentally and numerically for hazardous materials transportation protection. The numerical model implementing air within the CMF (nonhomogeneous model using fluid cavity technique) predicts puncture more accurately compared to the homogeneous CMF ...

Transdiagnostic Behavioral Phenotypes and Comorbid Gastrointestinal Symptoms in Neurodevelopmental Disorders: An Exploratory Study

open access: yesAutism Research, Volume 19, Issue 1, January 2026.
ABSTRACT Neurodevelopmental disorders (NDD), including autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), have heterogeneous behavioral phenotypes and substantial symptom overlap. Identifying transdiagnostic subgroups may help clarify this heterogeneity.

Role of asymmetry of the reaction and momentum dependent interactions on the balance energy for neutron rich nuclei

open access: yes, 2011
We present a systematic study of disappearance of flow i.e. balance energy $E_{bal}$ for an isotopic series of Ca with N/Z varying from 1 to 2 for different density dependences of symmetry energies.

Subcortical Brain‐Age Gaps Reveal Asymmetric Aging Patterns in Parkinson's Disease With Cognitive Impairment

open access: yesBrain and Behavior, Volume 16, Issue 1, January 2026.
Accelerated brain aging in Parkinson's disease is not global but a localized, asymmetric process in the left limbic‐cholinergic network. Regional brain‐age metrics offer a sensitive biomarker for detecting the specific neurodegeneration linked to cognitive decline.
