Preparing an Exsolvable Ru‐Substituted LaFeO3 Perovskite With High Surface Area From a Self‐Sacrificial Polymer Template: A Versatile Strategy for Enhanced Catalytic Performance

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, Volume 32, Issue 20, 27 May 2026.
High‐surface‐area LaFe0.9Ru0.1O3 is prepared by infiltration of porous Amberlite XAD16 polymer beads. Ru exsolution of this perovskite material leads to a supported catalyst with small Ru particles, exhibiting promising catalytic performance propane combustion.

Multi‐Targeting Non‐Specific Genome Engineering in Bacteria

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 25, 4 May 2026.
In this study, we provide the first case to use the multi‐targeting integrase (MTI) systems in bacteria and develop a host‐independent generalizable approach, MNGE (Multi‐targeting Non‐specific Genome Engineering), for multi‐copy and random integration of metabolic genes or pathways in both Gram‐positive and Gram‐negative bacteria, which will ...

Engagement of a Neighboring Lys Residue by a Salicylaldehyde‐Modified Glycomimetic Ligand Enables Potent and Selective Binding to DC‐SIGN Over L‐SIGN

open access: yesChemistryEurope, Volume 4, Issue 5, May 2026.
Mannose derivatives connected to the aminophilic salicylaldehyde tag show high binding affinity for C‐type lectin DC‐SIGN, favored by an imine bond with a protein's Lys residue in the ligand binding site. This reversible‐covalent binding interaction enables ligand selectivity for DC‐SIGN over the closely related L‐SIGN.

Magnetism for the Quantification of Sorption in Porous Materials From Liquid Media

open access: yesChemistry–Methods, Volume 6, Issue 5, May 2026.
This adsorption quantification technique uses external magnetic fields and a magnetic holder to measure mass changes during adsorption, making it universally applicable to any adsorbate. Unlike standard methods, it requires calibration only for the adsorbent rather than for every analyte.

From Mechanisms to Materials: Oximate Reactivity and Emerging Strategies for Organophosphate Detoxification

open access: yesChemPhysChem, Volume 27, Issue 7, 14 April 2026.
The development of effective strategies for the detoxification of organophosphorus (OP) nerve agents has evolved from the early mechanistic studies of François Terrier and collaborators, who first elucidated the exceptional nucleophilicity of α‐effect species such as oximes and hydroxamates, to the modern design of supramolecular and material‐based ...
