Extraction of cadmium from solutions containing various heavy metal ions by Amberlite LA-2
Journal of Industrial and Engineering Chemistry, 2010Abstract In present study, selective extraction of cadmium from acidic leach solutions, containing various heavy metal ions, by emulsion liquid membrane (ELM) is studied. For this reason, the zinc plant copper cake was leached with sulfuric acid and main acidic leach solution containing Zn(II), Cu(II), Fe(II), Cd(II), Co(II) and Ni(II) ions was ...

Solvent extraction on Zr(IV) were carried out at 5, 25 and 40 °C using Amberlite LA-2, TBP and HDEHP in toluene or kerosene from solutions of HCl, HBr or KI. The equilibrium constant Kex as well as the thermodynamic functions DG°, DH° and DS° of the nine extraction systems were deduced.

The present study is on the reactive extraction of picric acid (HPc, 2,4,6-trinitrophenol) from dilute aqueous solutions by organic phases containing Amberlite LA-2 (ALA-2) as extractant dissolved in four types of ketones. The studies were performed at 298, 308, and 318 K, and the results were used to calculate the values of distribution coefficient ...
