Extraction Equilibria of Acrylic Acid from Aqueous Solutions by Amberlite LA-2 in Various Diluents
Journal of Chemical & Engineering Data, 2010Amberlite LA-2 (a secondary amine mixture) has been studied for its ability to extract acrylic acid at different amine concentrations. The extraction of acrylic acid by Amberlite LA-2 dissolved in seven single solvents (cyclohexane, 2-octanone, toluene, methyl isobutyl ketone (MIBK), iso-octane, hexane, and 1-octanol) has been investigated with respect

Distribution equilibrium of penicillin G between water and organic solutions of Amberlite LA-2
The Chemical Engineering Journal and the Biochemical Engineering Journal, 1996Abstract Equilibrium studies on the distribution of penicillin G between aqueous solutions and Amberlite LA-2 (a secondary amine) in mixtures of n -butyl acetate and kerosene were made in the temperature range 288–308 K. Experiments were performed as a function of aqueous pH, penicillin G concentration in the aqueous phase, and amine concentration ...

Extraction and separation of60Co and65Zn halides from H2SO4 with TBP and amberlite LA-2
Journal of Radioanalytical Chemistry, 1974A systematic study is presented on the extraction of60Co and65Zn bromides and chlorides from H2SO4 with tri-n-butyl phosphate (TBP) and Amberlite LA-2. It has been found that the presence of a little HBr or HCl enhances the extraction of the two isotopes with both solvents.

Facilitated Pertraction of p-Aminobenzoic Acid with Amberlite LA-2 in Presence of 1-Octanol
Separation Science and Technology, 2010p-Aminobenzoic acid has been facilitated pertracted with Amberlite LA-2 dissolved in dichloromethane, using a U-shaped pertraction cell which allows obtaining the free liquid membrane. The pertraction has been a carrier out in the presence of 1-octanol added in the liquid membrane.

Synergic Extraction of Folic Acid with Di(2-ethylhexyl) Phosphoric Acid and Amberlite LA-2
Separation Science and Technology, 2012The influences of extractants concentrations and solvent polarity on the efficiency of folic acid separation by synergic extraction with Amberlite LA-2 and di(2-ethylhexyl) phosphoric acid (D2EHPA) mixture have been analyzed. The results indicated the formation of an interfacial compound which includes one molecule of folic acid and one of D2EHPA, the ...

Equilibrium and kinetics of Zn(II) bromide extraction with Amberlite LA-2 and methyl isobutyl ketone
Journal of Radioanalytical and Nuclear Chemistry, 2002The rates of extraction of Zn(II) from hydrobromic acid solutions into benzene solutions of the liquid anion exchanger Amberlite LA-2 and those into methyl isobutyl ketone (MIBK) have been investigated. The distribution equilibria of this system have been also studied.

AbstractThe extraction of zinc chloride by Amberlite LA‐2, a long chain secondary alkylamine, dissolved in Shellsol K, a naphthenic solvent, has been studied at room temperature. Isodecanol was used as modifier. The aqueous phases were chloride solutions of Zn(II) and Fe(II) in the concentration range commonly encountered in pickling baths, viz.
