Colloidal Crack Sintering Lithography for Light‐Induced Patterning of Particle Assemblies

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Colloidal crack sintering lithography (CCSL) is a microfabrication technique that uses light‐induced photothermal heating to trigger sintering and controlled cracking in polymer colloidal assemblies. Local structural changes generate microchannels and patterns, enabling direct writing of diverse topographic motifs.

Mesoporous Carbon Thin Films with Large Mesopores as Model Material for Electrochemical Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Mesoporous carbon thin films possessing 70 nm mesopores are prepared on titanium substrates by soft templating of resol resins with a self‐synthesized poly(ethylene oxide)‐block‐poly(hexyl acrylate) block copolymer. A strategy to avoid corrosion of the metal substrate is presented, and the films are extensively characterized in terms of morphology ...

Shallow volcanic reservoirs and pathways beneath Aso caldera revealed using ambient seismic noise tomography

open access: yesEarth, Planets and Space, 2018
Imaging the shallow velocity structures beneath Aso caldera is necessary to further understand volcanism at the volcano and in the region. The network for monitoring Aso volcano has been progressively renewed and upgraded with denser and more modern ...

Upper crustal structures beneath Yogyakarta imaged by ambient seismic noise tomography

open access: yes, 2016
Delineating the upper crustal structures beneath Yogyakarta is necessary for understanding its tectonic setting. The presence of Mt. Merapi, fault line and the alluvial deposits contributes to the complex geology of Yogyakarta.

Selection Strategies for Flexible Pressure Sensor Electrode Materials Toward Ultrafast Response

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study reveals, for the first time, how the electrode–organic interface governs the temporal performance of flexible pressure sensors. By pairing high‐conductivity CVD PEDOT with commonly used metal electrodes, the authors demonstrate that interfacial energy alignment dictates microsecond‐scale response, providing a straightforward design strategy ...

Anisotropic Reversible‐Jump McMC Shear‐Velocity Tomography of the Eastern Alpine Crust

open access: yesGeochemistry, Geophysics, Geosystems
The eastern Alpine crust has been shaped by the continental collision of the European and Adriatic plates beginning at 35 Ma and was affected by a major reorganization after 20 Ma.

Methodological advances in seismic noise imaging of the Alpine area

open access: yesComptes Rendus. Géoscience
Methodological advances in seismic tomography are often driven by the quality of data sets. The dense and homogeneous spatial coverage of the AlpArray seismic network, including hundreds of permanent and temporary broadband stations, has motivated a ...
