Ambient Images [PDF]

open access: yesThe Nordic Journal of Aesthetics, 2021
The digitization of the image has intensified the transformation of the relationship between humans and images. The proliferation of tools for the production of images and acceleration in their distribution has meant that a blasé attitude toward visual saturation, already prominent in the 20th century, has become more widespread.

Balance Ambiental

On the Distributability of Mobile Ambients [PDF]

open access: yesElectronic Proceedings in Theoretical Computer Science, 2018
Modern society is dependent on distributed software systems and to verify them different modelling languages such as mobile ambients were developed. To analyse the quality of mobile ambients as a good foundational model for distributed computation, we analyse the level of synchronisation between distributed components that they can express.

Evolutionary radiation of large‐bodied gorgonopsians from the lower Abrahamskraal formation of South Africa

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, EarlyView.
Abstract The middle Permian represents a critical interval in therapsid evolution, when gorgonopsians emerged as some of the first specialized apex predators within terrestrial ecosystems. Despite their significance, the early diversification of Gorgonopsia in Gondwana remains poorly understood due to scarcity and fragmentary material.

Talking the Walk: ESG Discourse as Strategic Dynamic Capability

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Conventional wisdom suggests that firms must “walk the talk” on sustainability. In turbulent institutional environments, however, talking increasingly becomes part of the walk, as organizations use sustainability discourse to construct and maintain legitimacy.

In silico analysis of putative interactions identifies fibroblasts as hubs for cell–cell communication during early regeneration of the zebrafish heart

open access: yesDevelopmental Dynamics, EarlyView.
Abstract Background The zebrafish heart regenerates upon injury. During injury response, fibroblasts and endothelial cells accumulate at the site of damage, and cardiomyocyte cell cycle reentry allows cardiac muscle regrowth. It is relevant to understand how the different cell types communicate with each other to coordinate regeneration.

On ambiental bordism [PDF]

open access: yesPacific Journal of Mathematics, 1994
Let \(M^ n\) be a closed and oriented submanifold of a closed and oriented manifold \(N^ n\), \(n>m+1\), such that \([M,i]=0 \in \Omega_ m (N)\), where \(i:M \to N\) is the inclusion and \(\Omega_ m (N)\) is the \(m\)-th oriented bordism group of \(N\). If \(n=m+2\) or \(m \leq 3\) or \(m \leq 4\) and \(n \neq 7\) then \(M\) bounds in \(N\).
