Children’s humour development: A linguistic perspective
By applying findings from an investigation into English-speaking children’s ability to comprehend verbal riddles, this paper advances an established model of children’s humour development by expanding stage 5 to include four sub-stages: (a) lexical and ...

On the elimination of infinitesimal Gribov ambiguities in non-Abelian gauge theories
An alternative method to account for the Gribov ambiguities in gauge theories is presented. It is shown that, to eliminate Gribov ambiguities, at infinitesimal level, it is required to break the BRST symmetry in a soft manner.

Bioinspired Stabilization of Fluorescent Au@SiO2 Tracers for Multimodal Biological Imaging
This study demonstrates a bioinspired stabilization strategy for fluorescent gold‐silica nanoparticles. Inspired by natural biosilica maturation, high‐temperature calcination transforms the silica shells, preventing dissolution in cell culture media and intracellular environments.

(Becoming) Experts In Meaning Ambiguities
The discrepancy between the theoretical problems experts raise on polysemy, and the ease with which it is everyday understood by speakers, has been defined as the polysemy paradox.

We propose a measure of the degree of ambiguity associated with a belief function and a nonparametric method to estimate it. The degree of ambiguity associated with a belief function is measured by the Kullback-Leibler diameter of the set of probability measures compatible with it.

Beyond the Edge: Charge‐Transfer Excitons in Organic Donor‐Acceptor Cocrystals
Complex excitonic landscapes in acene–perfluoroacene cocrystals are unveiled by polarization‐resolved optical spectroscopy and many‐body theory. This systematic study of a prototypical model system for weakly interacting donor–acceptor compounds challenges common views of charge‐transfer excitons, providing a refined conceptual framework for ...

A Human‐Based Skin‐Lymphoreticular Model‐on‐Chip to Emulate Inflammatory Skin Conditions
A human‐based lymphoreticular (LR) model was developed through guided self‐assembly and integrated in a skin‐lymphoreticular co‐culture in a microfluidic organ‐on‐chip to mimic interactions between skin and its draining lymph nodes. The human‐based skin‐lymphoreticular model resembles a minimally functional unit that allows to study interactions ...
