Magnetic and Structural Response Tuned by Coexisting Mn Concentration‐Dependent Phases in MnBi2Te4 Thin Film Grown on GaAs(001) by Molecular Beam Epitaxy

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The study explores structural and magnetic properties of one of the most recent topological quantum materials (MnBi2Te4). The Mn‐poor structure leads to stacking faults (quintuple layer ‐ QL of Bi2Te3 formation instead of a septuple layer ‐ SL of MnBi2Te4), resulting in a coexistence between weak antiferromagnetism and ferromagnetism.

Optimism and Pessimism in Games [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper considers the impact of ambiguity in strategic situations. It extends the earlier literature by allowing for optimistic responses to ambiguity. Ambiguity is modelled by CEU preferences.

Predicting Atomic Charges in MOFs by Topological Charge Equilibration

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An atomic charge prediction method is presented that is able to accurately reproduce ab‐initio‐derived reference charges for a large number of metal–organic frameworks. Based on a topological charge equilibration scheme, static charges that fulfill overall neutrality are quickly generated.

Media and Ambivalence| Media and Ambivalence: The Value of a Quandary—Introduction

open access: yesInternational Journal of Communication
Ambivalence is often associated with indecision or ineptitude, capable of paralyzing our ability to make decisions and take sides. For institutions such as the media and academia, which privilege messages that project certainty, ambivalence is a ...

Composer avec l’exercice d’une activité de travail stigmatisée

open access: yesSociologies, 2014
Over the last decade, social mediation has been a field particularly studied by the sociology of professional groups, often pointing out the failure of its « professionalization ». If this analytic term is not the most appropriate to represent the social

Ambiguity and uncertainty in 'breaking bad news' simulation

open access: yesResearch and Humanities in Medical Education, 2021
Introduction: Ambiguity and uncertainty are intrinsic aspects of contemporary medicine, and there is a need for methods to train medical students to tolerate them better.

Performance Analysis of Several GPS/Galileo Precise Point Positioning Models

open access: yesSensors, 2015
This paper examines the performance of several precise point positioning (PPP) models, which combine dual-frequency GPS/Galileo observations in the un-differenced and between-satellite single-difference (BSSD) modes.

Gribov ambiguity and degenerate systems

open access: yes, 2014
The relation between Gribov ambiguity and degeneracies in the symplectic structure of physical systems is analyzed. It is shown that, in finite-dimensional systems, the presence of Gribov ambiguities in regular constrained systems (those where the ...

From Mechanics to Electronics: Influence of ALD Interlayers on the Multiaxial Electro‐Mechanical Behavior of Metal–Oxide Bilayers

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Ultrathin AlOxHy interlayers between aluminum films and polymer substrates significantly improve electro‐mechanical properties of flexible thin film systems. By precisely controlling interlayer thickness using atomic layer deposition, this study identifies an optimal interlayer thickness of 5–10 nm that enhances ductility and delays cracking.

Bioinspired Stabilization of Fluorescent Au@SiO2 Tracers for Multimodal Biological Imaging

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates a bioinspired stabilization strategy for fluorescent gold‐silica nanoparticles. Inspired by natural biosilica maturation, high‐temperature calcination transforms the silica shells, preventing dissolution in cell culture media and intracellular environments.
