LDPC Code Aided Phase Ambiguity Resolution

2007 Information, Decision and Control, 2007
Low-density parity-check codes (LDPC) are known to perform close to the Shannon limit as the block length increases. Residual frequency offsets make iterative decoding difficult for longer block lengths. Sub-block decoding techniques provide a practical, low-complexity approach to deal with residual frequency offsets.

Frequency ambiguity resolution in OFDM systems

IEEE Communications Letters, 2000
In orthogonal frequency division multiplexing systems, the carrier-frequency offset can be divided into two parts: (1) an integer one-multiple of the subcarrier spacing 1/T and (2) a fractional one-less than 1/2T in amplitude. Some schemes proposed in the literature can only recover the fractional part.

Penalized GNSS Ambiguity Resolution

Journal of Geodesy, 2004
Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) carrier phase ambiguity resolution is the process of resolving the carrier phase ambiguities as integers. It is the key to fast and high precision GNSS positioning and it applies to a great variety of GNSS models which are currently in use in navigation, surveying, geodesy and geophysics.

An ambiguity resolution algorithm

1994
Compilers for object-oriented languages must traverse an inheritance graph to locate the class to which an attribute belongs. The algorithm presented in this paper performs the ambiguity resolution check in one single traversal of the inheritance graph.

Instantaneous Ambiguity Resolution

1991
With high quality dual-frequency receivers, it is possible to instantaneously resolve the whole-cycle carrier phase ambiguities in a kinematic scenario.

Pulse Doppler Ambiguity Resolution

IEEE Transactions on Aerospace and Electronic Systems, 1972
A mathematical algorithm using the method of invariant imbedding is developed which generates a best £2 estimate of range and range rate from pulse Doppler data.

Omega Ambiguity Resolution Techniques

Navigation, 1978
The coverage and availability offered by the OMEGA radionavigation system make it a natural choice for search and rescue systems that are to operate globally. Effective use of OMEGA signals in these applications requires ambiguity resolution beyond the 132 km lanes provided by the present three frequency format or the 528 km lanes provided by the ...

Ambiguity resolution in lateralized Arabic

Reading and Writing, 2014
We examined ambiguity resolution in reading in Arabic. Arabic is an abjad orthography and is morphologically similar to Hebrew. However, Arabic literacy occurs in a diglossic context, and its orthography is more visually complex than Hebrew. We therefore tested to see whether hemispheric differences will be similar or different from previous findings ...

Aided integer ambiguity resolution algorithm

PLANS 2004. Position Location and Navigation Symposium (IEEE Cat. No.04CH37556), 2004
The key issue in precise positioning using the GPS carrier phase is to solve for the integer ambiguities quickly and correctly. For some navigation applications, external sensors am available that provide auxiliary measurements. For example, in the control and guidance of land vehicles relative to a desired trajectory (e.g., lane-keeping on a highway ...
