The lice parasite community of great grey shrike Lanius excubitor collected in NE Slovakia during 1962-1974 was quantitatively studied. Lice fauna comprised of three species: Docophorulus coarctatus, Bruelia cruciata (Ischnocera) and Lanicanthus camelinus (Amblycera). All these species were previously indicated as characteristic for that host.

2017The goal of this research was to detect lice species on birds sampled in Cernek Bird Ringing Station located in Kizilirmak delta in Turkey between May 2014 and October 2015. Four genera and at least fifty species of chewing lice have been recorded infesting hummingbirds (Trochilidae). Here, we record for the first time, the genus Trochiliphagus in Brazil, as well as, a new host record for Trochiliphagus mellivorus Carriker, the fork-tailed woodnymph, Thalurania furcata.
