Amblyomma geoemydae (Cantor, 1847) This species has been recorded from the Oriental and eastern Palearctic Regions where it is predominantly a parasite of tortoises, although there are occasional records from other reptiles, birds and mammals (Hoogstraal and Aeschlimann 1982; Kakuda et al. 1989; Guglielmone et al. 2014).
