The syndrome, mediated by IgE antibodies against the oligosaccharide galactose‐alpha‐1,3‐galactose (alpha‐gal), can also involve reactions to visceral organs, dairy, gelatin and ...

Deslocamento horizontal do carrapato amblyomma sculptum (acari: ixodidae): bases para a prevenção de picadas [PDF]
For the prevention of diseases transmitted by ticks, it is essential to know their bioecology, especially their ability to move horizontally. This ability defines the range of the parasite from infested places to humans and can be important to define ...

We sequenced the entire mt genomes of three species of tick for the first time: Bothriocroton auruginans, B. hydrosauri and H. (Kaiseriana) novaeguineae, and we sequenced the 18S rRNA gene of B. hydrosauri and H. (Kaiseriana) bancrofti. In our phylogenetic trees, Alloceraea was the sister to Archaeocroton sphenodonti, from New Zealand; to the exclusion

A new genotype phylogenetically close to Ehrlichia canis named as Ehrlichia minasensis was identified infecting cattle and deer in Canada, as well as Rhipicephalus microplus ticks and cattle in Brazil. Although it was detected in R. microplus, little is known about the epidemiology of this ehrlichiosis, especially in other tick species.
