Acute dermatitis caused by Amblyomma variegatum larvae infestation was observed in adult local Nigerian chickens. Skin lesions containing numerous A. variegatum larvae were observed on gross examination. Histopathology showed skin haemorrhages, larvae, necrosis and infiltration of eosinophils.
