ECG data compression for ambulatory device

Proceedings. Computers in Cardiology 1988, 2003
Even if highly integrated CMOS technology makes portable devices with high-capacity RAM memory feasible, storage of 24-h 2-lead ECG data requires considerable real-time compression of data. The authors present a method (turning point with extremes) for compression of data and compare it with several of the most frequency used methods (the scan-along ...

Ambulatory ECG monitors.

Health devices, 1990
We evaluated five AECG (Holter) monitors from five manufacturers, basing our ratings primarily on the systems' ability to provide accurate ECG analyses and comprehensive reports. We also assessed additional features and capabilities, such as enhanced data analysis and reporting flexibility. The three retrospective analysis systems are rated Acceptable,

[Ambulatory ECG in cardiomyopathies].

Giornale italiano di cardiologia, 1988
DILATED CARDIOMYOPATHY - Conduction and rhythm disturbances are frequent findings in dilated cardiomyopathy. 65 patients with dilated cardiomyopathy underwent 24-hour electrocardiographic monitoring: 95.4% showed ventricular arrhythmias, 80% complex ventricular arrhythmias and 44% runs of non-sustained ventricular tachycardia.

Ambulatory ECG monitoring

Postgraduate Medicine, 1986
ST segment shifts are reliable indicators of transient myocardial ischemia. Ambulatory ECG monitoring detects episodes of ST segment shift with and without chest pain in patients with coronary heart disease. Monitoring can provide valuable information on the presence and frequency of transient myocardial ischemia.

[Ambulatory ECG in the peroperative period].

Giornale italiano di cardiologia, 1988
The clinical recognition of perioperative myocardial necrosis represents one of the clue factors in the management of cardiac surgical patients (pts). This study was performed to determine whether there is any relationship between reperfusion ventricular fibrillation and/or ST-segment elevation and postoperative enzymatic release.

ECG telemetry and ambulatory ECG: role in cardiac rehabilitation

1989
ECG telemetric monitoring and ambulatory ECG recording enable the assessment of disturbances of cardiac rhythm and/or abnormalities associated with the occurrence of myocardial ischemia that may occur during cardiac rehabilitative physical activity and/or during occupational or recreational activities. The challenge to the clinician is the selection of
