Citizen Science for Individual Identification of Pine Martens Martes martes From Camera Trap Footage
Camera traps generate large volumes of wildlife footage, but identifying animals to the individual level remains challenging and time‐consuming. Using European pine martens in the Forest of Dean as a case study, we assessed whether citizen scientists could identify individuals from camera trap photos and videos.

Spatial organisation and feeding ecology of the American mink (Mustela vison) in a coastal habitat [PDF]
The American mink (Mustela vison Schreber) is the only introduced carnivore that has successfully colonised the British Isles. In the present study, the important problem of understanding which are the factors that limit or enhance their number has been ...

Albinism in the American mink (Neovison vison) is associated with a tyrosinase nonsense mutation [PDF]
Albino phenotypes are documented in various species including the American mink. In other species the albino phenotypes are associated with tyrosinase (TYR) gene mutations; therefore TYR was considered the candidate gene for albinism in mink.

Abstract Research Summary Though scholars employ abduction, there is no agreed‐upon structure to reporting their findings. Moreover, the traditional hypo‐deductive reasoning structure does not align with the epistemology of abduction. We propose an abductive testimonial structure, termed PEEBI, which consists of five sections in which the authors take ...

Despite different conservation programs led by the French ecology ministry since 1999, its distribution is still dramatically decreasing. Moreover, no standardized monitoring has been carried out between 2004 and 2015.In order to update the ...

Hybridization of domestic mink with wild American mink (Neovison vison) in eastern Canada [PDF]
Farmed American mink (Neovison vison (Schreber, 1777)) pose a risk to biodiversity owing to escape and release from farms. Feral mink may affect native species in locations where American mink are not endemic, such as Europe.
