Role of SoxE transcription factors in development and disease

open access: yesDevelopmental Dynamics, EarlyView.
Abstract Sox8, Sox9, and Sox10 arose by multiple rounds of genome duplications from a single SoxE gene in ancestral vertebrates. In this review, we will briefly discuss the molecular structure and function of SoxE transcription factors and their evolutionary origin. We will then discuss their expression, function, and developmental disorders.

From biological marker to clinical application: the role of anti-Müllerian hormone for delayed puberty and idiopathic non-obstructive azoospermia in males

open access: yesEndocrine Connections
Anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH), a biomarker secreted by Sertoli cells in the testes, has emerged as a critical indicator of male reproductive function with significant clinical application potential.

Human Metapneumovirus and Its Association With Otorhinolaryngological Manifestations: A Systematic Review With Descriptive Synthesis

open access: yesEye &ENT Research, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Human metapneumovirus (HMPV) is a respiratory virus that predominantly affects the pediatric population. Its role as an infective agent in ear, nose, and throat (ENT) diseases is not yet well understood. To systematically review the available literature on the association between HMPV and ENT manifestations, following PRISMA guidelines, a ...

Age-related decline in AMH is assay dependent limiting clinical interpretation of repeat AMH measures across the reproductive lifespan

open access: yes, 2017
Purpose: The aim of the study was to determine whether the assays exhibit an interaction with age and exhibit heterogeneous age related declines in AMH. Apart of chronological age, AMH variation was investigated with relation to menstrual cycle day (MCD).

Enabling Ultrastable Microbubbles With Graphene Aerogel Enrichment and Machine Learning for Highly Efficient Carbon Storage

open access: yesElectron, EarlyView.
This study aims to introduce a novel‐designed structure of the colloidal aphron microbubbles reinforced by incorporating hydrophobic aerographene microparticles onto the hydrophobic outer shell. This results in the formation of a robust composite film and armored microbubble that offers exceptional ultrastability under elevated pressures of up to 400 ...

The Correlation of the Follicular Fluid Levels of Anti-Mullerian Hormone and Beta Human Chorionic Gonadotropin with Oocyte Matura-tion

open access: yesIranian South Medical Journal, 2019
Background: Follicular fluid (FF) plays a key role in preparing a microenvironment for the development and fertilization of oocytes. Moreover, biochemical and hormonal changes in the FF surrounding the oocyte can affect its quality and successful ...

Transition From Child to Adult Eating Disorder Services: A Qualitative Meta‐Aggregation

open access: yesEuropean Eating Disorders Review, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Some young people with eating disorders (EDs) require transfer from paediatric to adult services, which can be difficult and distressing. While most research on this topic is qualitative, no qualitative focused synthesis yet exists.

Promoter Identification and Transcriptional Regulation of the Goose AMH Gene

open access: yesAnimals, 2019
Anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH) is recognized as a reliable marker of ovarian reserve. However, the regulatory mechanism of goose AMH gene remains poorly understood. In the present study, both the full-length coding sequence (CDS) and promoter sequence

Az Anti-Müllerian Hormon (AMH)-szintek és az inzulinrezisztencia kapcsolata a meddőségi vizsgálatokban

open access: yes, 2017
Bevezetés: A reproduktív funkció szorosan összefügg az energia homeosztázissal. A petefészek rendelkezik a glükóz metabolizmushoz szükséges inzulin jelátvitel összes komponensével, így magyarázható, hogy a rendellenes inzulin hatás megváltoztatja a ...

Demographic characteristics and AMH levels in rural and urban women participating in an IVF programme

open access: yes, 2018
Objective The primary aim of this preliminary study was to compare the IVF results of couples living in rural and urban areas. Additionally, the ovarian reserve parameters, such as AMH concentrations, were compared for the same groups.
