Abstract A few mixed O-(trimethylsilyl)-N-(trialkylstannyl)amidoximes, R(R'3SnNH)-C[dbnd]NO·SiMe3 (where R = Me, Et, Pr or Ph and R' = Me or Bun), have been synthesized by the reaction of lithium derivatives of O-(trimethylsilyl)amidoxines with trialkyltin chlorides in n-hexane under a dry-nitrogen atmosphere.

Some hydroxyamidines and amidoximes

A number of hydroxyamidines and amidoximes have been prepared in order to examine if their chelating system can lead to cytotoxic compounds. Most compounds are toxic but all are inactive against experimental tumours. The i.r., u.v. and N.M.R. spectra of the hydroxyamidines are discussed.

Rearrangement of phosphylated amidoximes

Selectivity of Amidoxime Polymers for the Sorption of Gallate

Abstract The sorption of gallium from alkaline solution using amidoxime resins or polyampholytes was studied. Gallium is extracted by amidoxime resins, even from Bayer leachates, but amidoxime polyampholytes are limited to dilute alkali hydroxide solution up to 5 M. The elution of gallium runs well with acetylacetone.

How Amidoximate Binds the Uranyl Cation

This study identifies how the amidoximate anion, AO, interacts with the uranyl cation, UO(2)(2+). Density functional theory calculations have been used to evaluate possible binding motifs in a series of [UO(2)(AO)(x)(OH(2))(y)](2-x) (x = 1-3) complexes.
