Abstract Selenium (Se) biofortification in crops has emerged as a promising strategy to address global Se deficiencies and enhance both agricultural productivity and human health. Increasing the Se content of crops through biofortification improves their resilience to abiotic and biotic stresses and boosts their nutritional value.

The Genetic Basis of Color Polymorphism in the Orb‐Web Spider Gasteracantha cancriformis
This study investigates the genetic basis of coloration in the polymorphic spider Gasteracantha cancriformis using RNA‐seq data from different female color morphs. We assembled a reference transcriptome and identified differentially expressed genes associated with known pigmentation pathways, including carotenoids, melanin, ommochromes, and pteridines.

The recovery of large carnivores offers unique opportunities to study their cascading impacts on plant population dynamics. Medium‐sized carnivores, both prey and seed dispersers, are suppressed by apex predators, indirectly increasing seed‐eating rodent's populations and potentially altering plant establishment.
