Enhancing Binding by Electron Transfer at Heterointerfaces of Biochar‐Modified Hydrogel to Improve Utilization Efficiency of Wastewater Recovered Nutrients

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Enhancing the utilization efficiency of nutrients recovered from wastewater is achieved through hydrogel modification by biochar. The strategy improves nutrient binding to hydrogels via electron transfer at heterointerfaces, thereby reducing nutrient release rate.

In Situ Construction of Cu1+/Cu0 and Cu2+/Cu0 Pairs of Cu‐Based Catalysts for Electrocatalytic Nitrate Reduction

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
CuO and CuPO (Cu2P2O7 and Cu3(PO4)2) as precursors are in suit construction two distinct copper‐based active sites during the NO3RR reaction: Cu1+/Cu0 (derived from CuO) and Cu2+/Cu0 (derived from CuPO). Cu1+/Cu0 is the key to achieving high activity and high selectivity.

Biomimetic Organic Nanozyme as Tumor Vaccines for Targeted Suppression of Ammonia‐Induced T Lymphocyte Death to Augment Breast Cancer Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The organic nanozyme IR‐IHpd, which has NIR‐PDT and POD‐like activity, is designed for continuous ROS generation. It is co‐encapsulated with CB‐839 and coated with DC membranes to simultaneously target tumors and T cells. Under NIR irradiation, immunogenic cell death is activated. Concurrently, CB‐839 suppresses ammonia‐induced T lymphocyte death (AITD)

Low-Pressure Ammonia Production

2020
The major challenges encountered in ammonia production are the surface adsorbates and catalyst structures under conditions significant for ammonia synthesis. The discovery of scalable, active, and long-lived catalysts plays an important role in producing sustainable ammonia synthesis.

Photosynthetic production of ammonia

Experientia, 1982
The conversion of solar energy into suitable redox energy through photosynthesis of the water-splitting type carried out by intact or reconstituted systems is of great interest and significance, and a major effort is presently under way to use this process to provide ‘biofuels’ on a renewable basis.

Gut ammonia production and its modulation

Metabolic Brain Disease, 2008
Systemic hyperammonemia has been largely found in patients with cirrhosis and hepatic encephalopathy, and ammonia plays a major role in the pathogenesis of hepatic encephalopathy. However, controversial points remain: a) the correlation between plasma ammonia levels and neurophysiological impairment.

Ammonia Production Processes

1995
The present chapter describes process technology for the production of ammonia. The first part gives a short review of early developments in ammonia technology. The second part contains a brief description of processes used in the production of ammonia synthesis gas, i.e.
