Physico-chemical study of polymer mixtures formed by a polycation and a zwitterionic copolymer in aqueous solution and upon adsorption onto negatively charged surfaces [PDF]
The adsorption of mixtures of charged polymers onto solid surfaces presents a big interest in different technological and industrial fields, and in particular, in cosmetics. This requires to deepen on the most fundamental physico-chemical bases governing the deposition, which is generally correlated to the interactions occurring in solution.

In this work, Bi2Te3 is integrated into a 3D‐printed nanocarbon electrode for NH4+ storage. A rocking‐chair battery with CuHCF as the cathode delivers a high energy density of 134.8 Wh kg−1 and a power density of 1800 W kg−1. The design allows easy recovery of carbon additives, promoting sustainability and recyclability in next‐generation aqueous ...

Soliton dynamics in 1D quantum antiferromagnets [PDF]
The problem of dissipative motion of solitons in the case of tetramethyl ammonium manganese chloride (TMMC) is studied as a function of the external magnetic field and the temperature. Two specific situations are analyzed separately; the first, above the transition temperature $T_N$, in which the classical motion of the spin degree of freedom is ...

A scalable nano‐/micro‐confinement strategy is developed, where polyacrylamide (PAM)‐LiCl hybrid desiccants are confined within hollow nanoparticles (HNPs) and assembled into raspberry‐like microbeads. The beads have a hydrogel‐rich core and an NP‐rich shell for fast absorption and desorption, releasing water 13.6 L kg⁻¹ day⁻¹.

Thermal and Flame Properties of Polyethylene and Polypropylene Nanocomposites Based on an Oligomerically–Modified Clay [PDF]
An oligomerically-modified clay was made using a surfactant which is the ammonium salt of an oligomer. The newly modified clay contains 37.5% inorganic clay and 62.5% oligomer.

Pentazole and Ammonium Pentazolate: Crystalline Hydro-Nitrogens at High Pressure [PDF]
Two new crystalline compounds, pentazole (N_{5}H) and ammonium pentazolate (NH_{4})(N_{5}), both featuring cyclo-{\rm N_{5}^{-}} are discovered using first principles evolutionary search of the nitrogen-rich portion of the hydro-nitrogen binary phase diagram (N_{x}H_{y}, x\geqy) at high pressures.

Nitrate pollution from horticultural production systems : tools for policy and advice from field to catchment scales [PDF]
The implementation of the Nitrates Directive has imposed a requirement to restrict N fertiliser and manuring practices on farms across the EU in order to reduce nitrate losses to water.
